Well, as some of you already read on Daniels Blog I took most of the money i put aside plus a little loan from my parents plus a little bonus for my abitur to finally buy a newer cam than the good old 350D.
Sadly I hit a kinda bad time for my order, cause im right in the middle of my abitur… okay i already finished all written tests but the oral one is about to hit me on Wednesday and i recognized the last few days that economy is more than buying stuff…
So as the box arrived, i had almost no time to go shooting… well although id did. I think everyone can understand the feeling of having something new…
So I met with Daniel, Dagmar and Stav on Saturday to shoot some skating in Augsburg.
First Spot was the all known AOK-‘Jumpramp’ close to the trainstation…
Due to my lack of skill on the new camera i had big problems with the focus. On my 350D i had the auto-focus set to another button than the trigger… makes it easier in my opinion, well, with the focus on the trigger i had real trouble with the image formation, wich ended up in using the manual-focus.
I also tried to shoot some sequence… enjoy the sound of more than 3 frames/s
But almost all photos found their way into the trashcan: rider out of focus, shitty moment, flash didn’t trigger etc.
Next spot was a ‘little’ handrail near to Daniel’s university
Well in principle it was a pretty nice rail… but just in principle. We did only bring one board… we would have needed two. After some light setting and a few shots Daniel hit the ground pretty hard… okay not the ground really, it was mud. After the slam Daniels motivation on this rail was kinda down, so we simply went on to a small bridge in the same area.
nice wave… hard to shoot though. To many trees to little perspectives.
But to bring this to an end, we got some pics… check them!
